The Postdoctoral Fellows program is unique in its mission to train a generation of professionals equipped to address some of the world's most urgent problems. The symposium highlights the work of current Research Fellows. Speakers include: • Ruthie Birger: “Asymptomatic shedding of respiratory virus among an ambulatory population” • Kyle Davis: “A multidimensional approach to food production decision making” • Alexandra Karambelas: “Urban-rural variations in air quality and health impacts in northern India” • Nandini Velho: “Understanding conservation challenges around India's tiger reserves” The Symposium will be presented and moderated by John C. Mutter, Director of Graduate Studies, SDEV Ph.D. program; Director, Earth Institute Postdoctoral Fellows program; Professor, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences; Professor, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
