The Integrative Capstone Workshop serves as the culminating educational experience for students in the M.S. in Sustainability Management program. Students must draw on both the practical skills and the analytical knowledge they have gained in order to address crucial sustainability management issues as consultants for a real-world client. This semester, students have undertaken the following projects: Riverbank Park: Creating an Energy Park for the Community Client: New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Faculty Advisor: Thomas Abdallah Sure We Can: Upcycled Discarded Materials Client: Sure We Can: Recycling Center, Community Space and Sustainability Hub Faculty Advisor: Kizzy Charles-Guzmán Supporting Sustainability in Small-Scale Fisheries Client: Wildlife Conservation Society’s Marine Conservation Program Faculty Advisor: Robert Cook Innovations in Urban Sustainability Client: Bloomberg Associates Faculty Advisor: Susanne DesRoches How to Plant a Million Trees: A Case Study on the MillionTreesNYC Initiative Client: The Nature Conservancy Faculty Advisor: George Sarrinikolaou Please bring your ID and arrive by no later than 6:10 p.m. so as not to disrupt the presentations.
