A Columbia Aging Center Seminar featuring speakers: John Beard, MBBS, PhD, Professor, University of New South Wales; Linda P. Fried, MD, MPH, Dean and DeLamar Professor, Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, Director, Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center; and John W. Rowe, MD, Julius Richmond Professor of Health Policy and Aging, Columbia Mailman Department of Health Policy and Management and Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center.

Recognizing the need to take action in the face of demographic change created by increased longevity, the National Academy of Medicine formed an international commission of experts to develop an evidence-based plan to advance healthy longevity and its societal opportunities around the globe. The result is the recently released National Academy of Medicine Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity.
