Committed to 100% Renewable electricity

Columbia University set out to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by at least 35% over its 2006 baseline in its first campus Sustainability Plan, released in 2017. To date, the University has exceeded this goal through a combination of retro-comissioning measures and the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), achieving 100% renewable electricity for all campuses.
