Through 4/25: Sustainable Commute Pledge

Take the pledge with 511NY Rideshare to commute sustainably and you could win Columbia Flex Dollars! Columbia is a partner with 511NY Rideshare, a state service, to offer carpool matching the Guaranteed Ride home service for Columbia affiliates. Pledges due by April 25, 2023.

  • Free bike Tune Ups
  • Free bike registrations with CU Public Safety and the NYPD.
  • Discount bike locks, helmets and more.
  • NYC bike maps and safety tips

4/27: Electric Vehicle Information Webinar

Do you own a personal vehicle that runs on diesel or gasoline? Join this webinar to learn about the benefits and resources available for switching to an electric vehicle, presented by representatives from 511 NY Rideshare, Empire Clean Cities, and Columbia’s Office of Sustainability. 4/27: Research & Activism around Sustainability and Environmental Justice

The Environmental Justice and Climate Just Cities (EJCJC) Network at the Columbia Climate School and the City College of New York with WEACT are hosting a three-part event on April 27 from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on City College Campus at the Steinman Building, Room 161. The event will celebrate student activism around sustainability, climate, and justice.

4/28: Earth Month Showcase - Student Research and Plan 2030 Progress

Join The Climate School and Office of Sustainability at our annual Earth Month Showcase 2023!

  • Hear from Facilities and Operations leaders providing updates on the “State of Plan 2030”
  • Celebrate student research with the Spring Research Showcase poster session
  • Learn more about efforts to better connect student sustainability groups on campus
