Columbia has been recognized as one of America's Greenest Universities for 2015!
Over 240 schools rated by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) were reviewed, and Columbia rose to the top for 2015. This ranking is based on Columbia’s score on the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS) Report, which was submitted in April of 2015. We received a Gold rating on this report, which is the second-highest rating a school can achieve.
This recognition reflects a collective commitment from schools, departments and individuals across our campuses to reduce the impact that the University has on the environment.
